What you need to know about Metin2
Yang and Won: count the zeros
The most common mistake in the Metin2 economy is mixing up the units. 1 Won equals 100,000,000 Yang. A known trick of market scammers is to pass off Yang digits as Won digits (or the other way round).
- When you read a listing’s price, count the zeros one by one; don’t estimate the number of digits by eye.
- To judge whether a price is reasonable, look at the average for the last 24 hours; don’t work out the market price from a single listing.
Buying an item in the trade window
- Check the stones. Before the trade, confirm that the stones in the item aren’t broken.
- Read the bonus values. Two items with the same name can be priced very differently because of their bonuses; don’t trade without seeing the exact values.
- Server. Yang and items are delivered to your character on the server named in the listing; there’s no transfer between servers. Prices also differ between servers such as Marmara, Ruby Charon and Diamond Nite.
