Solo boost and duo boost are not the same thing
The difference between the two services isn’t technical; it’s a difference in risk:
- Duo boost: you play on your account, and the booster joins the game on your team. You don’t give your account details to anyone. The risk that comes from account sharing doesn’t arise with this method.
- Solo boost: the booster plays on your account. This means account sharing, and many games’ terms of service forbid account sharing. The risk of sanctions may be low, but it isn’t zero, and no seller can remove it.
If you want to keep the risk as low as possible, choose duo boost. If you go for solo boost, do it knowing the risk.
Before you order
- Starting and target rank should be stated clearly in the listing; vague wording like “a few divisions” leads to disputes.
- Time. A boost depends on the number of games; get the seller’s estimated time in writing before you order.
- If you chose solo boost: change your password as soon as the service is finished and set up two-step verification again.
- Chat. Don’t mention the boost in the in-game chat while it’s running; that’s where most reports come from.
Frequently asked questions
Will I get banned because of a boost?
With a duo boost you don’t give your account to anyone, so there’s no account-sharing risk. A solo boost counts as account sharing, and many games’ rules don’t allow it; the risk is low but real, and no seller can guarantee against it.
Which one should I choose?
Duo boost if you don’t want to give your account to anyone. Solo boost if you don’t want to play yourself, but knowing the risk.
What should I do when the service is finished?
If you had a solo boost, change your password right away and set up two-step verification again.
How long does a boost take?
It depends on the number of matches to be played. Get the estimated time from the seller in writing before you order; delivery times and what to do if there’s a delay are set out in the delivery terms.
