Delivery happens in person in the game, and that’s where the risk is

Game currency delivery is completed when the buyer’s and the seller’s characters meet in the game. Almost all fraud happens at this step, in one of these two ways:

• Look-alike fake characters. Scammers create characters with names very close to the seller’s (one letter changed, a capital I swapped for a lowercase l) and try to open the trade with that character. Trade only with the character name shown on the order screen, not with a name that messages you in the in-game chat.
• Taking you off the site. Offers like “I’ll do it cheaper” or “there’s a fee here, let’s sort it out outside” are the risk itself. The escrow protection only covers transactions made through the site; a deal made outside has no protection at all.

When you receive it

• Count the amount in the trade window. Before you accept, make sure the amount on screen exactly matches the amount in the listing.
• Server and character match. Game currency is delivered to your character on the server shown in the listing; it can’t be moved to another server.
• Carry limit. In some games the amount of money a character can carry is limited; large amounts may be delivered in parts. Agree this with the seller in advance.
• If the price is too low, stop. A listing well below the market is usually either from a suspicious source or won’t be delivered.

How do I know who to trade with?

With the character name given on the order screen. Ignore look-alike characters that message you in the in-game chat; this is the most common scam.

The seller is offering a discount outside the site. Should I accept?

No. When a deal moves off the site, the escrow protection no longer applies, and you have no way to get your payment back.

Can I move the game currency I bought to another server?

No. Delivery is made to your character on the server shown in the listing. Check the server before you order.

How long does delivery take?

Since delivery is done by hand, both the seller and you need to be in the game. Arranging a time speeds things up; the maximum time and what happens if there’s a delay are set out in the delivery terms.
